Welcome to the Cal BayUp Blog

Welcome to the Cal Team’s blog site for Bay Area Urban Project 2013! Together we will be serving the city of Oakland this summer. You can check this blog to stay up to date with our weekly happenings, stories, and testimonies over the next 6 weeks.

What is BayUp?
“Over the course of six weeks, students live, learn, and work in the urban cities.  They volunteer over 120 hours serving and learning from local grassroot agencies.  In addition to service learning opportunities, students will engage in weekly scripture studies, prayer, and teachings on shalom theology, credible witness, racial and other social justice issues.  They will be equipped to learn, critic, bless, and influence systems and institutions through our unique Christian faith lens.” –bayup.org
